Looking ahead, what changes will 5G and AI bring to data centers?
According to the latest report released by Guanyantianxia, due to the rise of mobile Internet, Internet of Things, big data and other Internet sub industries, the growth rate of China's data center market size is far higher than the global average, with a compound annual growth rate of 37.8% in the past five years. In the next five years, the size of China's IDC market will continue to rise, and it is expected that China's new data center market capacity will account for about 50% of the global new increment in the next three years. By 2024, China's market capacity will reach the existing stock size of the United States.
With the arrival of 2024, data centers are adopting newer and more mature technologies. Specifically, we will not only see 5G's role in promoting the growth of edge computing demand, but also see AI further strengthen the deployment of new services for end users and internal employees in this market. The deployment of machine learning, deep learning, and other artificial intelligence technologies has become mainstream, and it is these technologies that support the cloud services we use in our daily lives.
As more and more enterprises begin to use collected data to build and deploy AI models to support new services and generate new business insights, the application of AI will accelerate in 2024. Faced with this trend, data center enterprises need to take measures to ensure the deployment of faster networks and servers in core locations, while also deploying AI models at the edge, closer to end users.
Although the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in data centers presents challenges for data center enterprises, it also brings opportunities: if enterprises can correctly and effectively combine network, computing, and edge data center technologies to support AI, they will be able to attract more customers.
